About Marion Gilbert, Founder

Marion Gilbert, R.P.T., is an experienced physical therapist with over four decades of experience and the founder of a respected physical therapy practice and wellness center in Grass Valley, CA. With a background that includes extensive training in CranioSacral Therapy, Somato-Emotional Release, and Trauma Resolution, Marion has cultivated a unique approach to healing and personal transformation.

Since 2003, Marion has integrated the Enneagram system into her work, utilizing it as a comprehensive somatic-emotional-cognitive map to explore human personality structures. Her approach emphasizes the power of a somatic lens to support personal and spiritual growth. Through this perspective, Marion helps individuals develop deeper somatic awareness, enhancing the integration of somatic understanding with the mental and emotional centers of intelligence for lasting transformation.

In addition to her therapeutic work, Marion offers a Somatic Enneagram Training and Certification Program, with workshops available both in the U.S. and internationally. Her teachings are rooted in the Narrative Tradition of the Enneagram, founded in 1988 by Helen Palmer and David Daniels, M.D. Marion brought her somatic awareness wisdom to the The Narrative Enneagram (TNE), which brought a more approach to self-development work based on the Enneagram System of Personality.

As an adjunct faculty member of the nonprofit The Narrative Enneagram (TNE), Marion has taught several of their advanced trainings, including the Somatic Awareness Practice and Deepening Spiritual Awareness. She has collaborated with esteemed Enneagram teachers such as Helen Palmer, David Daniels, M.D., Terry Saracino, and Peter O’Hanrahan. Marion also serves as an advisor to the Enneagram Prison Project (EPP), where she brings her expertise in somatic awareness to support EPP's guides as well as incarcerated individuals and their reintegration after release.
