What You Will Experience
Module 1: Foundational Elements of Somatic Work
Learn to ground yourself in the body and cultivate the inner observer. Through guided practices and group dialogue, you’ll develop the capacity to direct attention in ways that gently relax your type structure and restore balance, presence, and self-awareness.
Module 2: The Defense System and How to Be with It
Explore how defensive patterns arise somatically as physical, emotional, and mental reactions. You’ll learn how to recognize these responses as they emerge and stay present with them long enough for real transformation to occur—building skills in self-regulation, emotional resilience, and nervous system support.
Module 3: Differentiating Essence from Personality
Move beyond survival strategies and touch the essence of who you are. Through practices that engage themes such as loss, anxiety, achievement, and trauma, you’ll learn how to meet life’s challenges with greater compassion, clarity, and embodied freedom.

Marion Gilbert is an internationally recognized teacher, author, and the founder of the Somatic Enneagram Method. With decades of experience in somatic psychology, trauma-informed practice, and spiritual development, Marion is known for her grounded, compassionate approach to working with the Enneagram through the body. Her teaching integrates deep presence, nervous system awareness, and experiential learning, supporting lasting transformation that goes beyond insight into embodied change.
